 1. While vitamins were known to have existed before the 20th century, the only sources of vitamins were certain types of food. This is a problem for groups of people who live in conditions which limit the variety of the food they can eat. For example, crews on a ship would routinely develop scurvy due to Vitamin C deficiency. This was caused by a lack of fruit aboard the ship on especially long journeys. The British began bringing lemons and limes aboard on such journeys (hence the nickname “Limeys,”) and saw a decrease in the cases of scurvy at sea.

My opinion: it’s s true that vitamins exist in natural food, for examples but sometimes people are under nourished that’s why sometimes the people can’t  get adequate quantity of vitamins with natural foods. That's why they have to use the vitamins fills.

2.     Insulin was first isolated at the University of Toronto by Dr. Fredrick Banting. It had been known that the pancreas was involved in the disease diabetes since the late 19th century, but not until 1921 was it discovered that the hormone insulin could be used to treat type 1 diabetes. Until then such a diagnosis meant death for the patient. Banting and Charles H. Best made their patent on insulin available to all who could produce it in order to avoid prohibiting any production of this life-saving drug in any part of the world. That decision and their work have saved millions of lives all over the world and will save many more in the future. 

My opinion: when people are ill with diabetes them be necessary the insulin, because without it the people can be die and it’s discovery is very useful in medicine. And I can some interesting information about insulin: it’s a hormone normally created in the pancreas. This helps the muscles and tissues in the body to take a sugar (glucose) in the blood. If you do not have enough insulin in the body and thus becomes your blood sugar level is too high. The word comes from the cells of the pancreas, which is formed in the islets and islands in Latin Insula.

3.     Antibiotics are a very important part of modern medicine. Anti-bacterial soap prevents the spread of bacterial disease, antibiotics turn would-be dangerous infections into a small rash that goes away in about a week, and post-operative infections are minimal due to sterilizing efforts in operating rooms at hospitals and in doctors’ offices. All of these benefits stem from the discovery of Penicillin by Alexander Fleming in the early 20th century. Since then, medical research into the antibacterial effects of certain compounds and substances has led to the ability to prevent most bacterial infection in both everyday life and in the hospital setting, and in the case where an infection does occur the proper antibiotic medicine can be used to combat the infection.

My opinion: the antibiotics have a major role in a health, because with them we can prevent many infections and distributing them. Formerly it's had a large distribution and that’s why the people died premature.

4.     In 1895, Wilhelm Röntgen was experimenting with a new type of ray which he referred to as “X.” Little did he know that those rays would improve the lives and livelihoods of millions of people in the future. Röntgen discovered the medical application of X-rays when he photographed his wife’s hand, creating the first image of a human body part made by X-rays. The early tubes used to create the rays were very inefficient, but around 1920 a more efficient vacuum tube was invented, making way for wide spread use of X-rays for medical purposes. Today they are used to identify diseases mainly in bone, but also in soft tissue (pneumonia, lung cancer, kidney stones, etc.).

 My opinion: by inventing and using X-ray scanner, medicine had a big development.  In the past it was very difficult to found that diseases or factures, but now it’s very easy with x-ray scanner. 

Crime and punishment

1. Do you believe that public executions would deter crime? If so, how?
I think that the public execution is a very backward and false phenomenon which is done in some undeveloped countries. I don’t agree about this kind of execution.
2. Do you think gun control is a good idea? Explain.
Of course, gun control is a very good idea and the police should register all the guns owned by people.
3. Do you think policeman should be allowed to carry guns?
The policemen must be allowed to carry guns but they must use guns in extreme situations.
4. Do you think that capital punishment is a good idea? Why or why not?
I think that a capital punishment is a bad idea, because they say that life is given by God and nobody has the right to take it. They have banned capital punishment in Armenia.
5. Do you think that punishment for violent crimes should be the same for juveniles and adults? Why or why not?
The punishment for juveniles should be milder because they sometimes don’t understand what they are doing.
6. Do you think there will be more or less crime in the future?
I think that there will be less crime in Armenia if the economy in our country develops and there are more working places.
7. Do you think your country is a safe place to live? Why or why not?
I think that Armenia is a safe place to live. It is because of Armenians’ character. Armenia is a very small country and almost all the people know another. One can go out for a walk in Yerevan at night and nothing will happen.
8. Have you ever done anything illegal? If so, what did you do?
I have never done an illegal thing.
9. If a person steals a loaf of bread because he needs to feed his starving family, should he be punished?
I think no, but the person shouldn’t steal. We should help him to find a job.

MY PROJECT. HUMAN RELATIONSHIP

Relationships are connection between persons. We share a relationship with our family, with friends and most important of all we share a relationship with God. Relationships can be personal, impersonal, close or distant. A personal relationship would be a relationship on your own personal time. An impersonal relationship would be a relationship with the public. A close relationship would be someone who lives close to you or a family member. A distant relationship would be a relationship you share with someone who you know who lives far away from you and you can only talk to them on the phone or through Internet. At birth, we experience our first relationship with our mother and as we grow up we will have a whole web of relationships. In human life, relationships are very important for human survival and development. A beautiful union exists between 3 relationships: a relationship with others, a relationship with oneself and a relationship with God, our father. It is clear, God created us to live in relationship with others, so why not make the best of it. When a relationship is loving and intimate we experience God through these relationships.

Comment about human relationship`

I think that the human relationship ase the most important think in the our life. Nobody can't live without friends and without family and without republic. The most important thing for being good friends, to my mind, is to be ready to help one another in any situation, nevertheless how difficult it is, to support one another and to solve all the problems together.

                            MY BEST FRIEND

I have a lot of friends and i love them so much. But my best friend is Nara. She is fifteen years old and studies in school after Galust Gyulbenkyan. She has many hobbies. I love her very much. I spend very happy time with her. She looks like me ...always happy we are always together. We help each other. When i am in bad mood she helps me and when she is in bad mood i help her too. We have known each other for 4 years. But in my opinion it is not very important how long we know each other. And i think that we shall always be together ...
